Your information will also be added to the page for your state. Anyone who is working in the field of CPS reform or victim support, or who wants to help this cause is welcome to be listed here. You're welcome to include your email address, website link and any mailing list information, but please keep it brief!
Exception: If you have an active CPS case please do not ask to be on the activist registry. You need to take this time to work on winning your own case, not somebody else's. To get help on your case try the Online Mailing List Support Groups. If, by the time the case is all over, you feel strongly about this and want to devote your life to pro-family activism, please come back here and request a listing.

Michael Stephen Stretton 3d - I was a child imprisioned in the system (e.g., grouphome). While so imprisioned, I founded an organization called K.A.F. (i.e., Kids Against Foster Care). We, the children, rebelled and demanded that our rights be given to us. We accepted no less. I was decomissioned from K.A.F. rosters one year following release from the last group home I was imprisioned in. I have been out of contact ever since. I am still fighting the system. I have no formal legal education, but am very familiar with court procedure and legal writing/research. I have done paralegal work (before the law requiring registration) prior to my graduation from High School. I am interested in helping others and continuing the fight. I advocate for children/families in CT or over the Internet as much as I can. I do a lot of researching for people if I can also. The group here in CT is called SPOCCT but I am also with Justice For Families. I also get letters individually from people who also go to parentalrights@yahoogroups.com in which I help moderate and the other is falsly_accused@yahoogroups, which I also send to and moderate. This one I kind of adopted when the woman got too depressed to continue and needed a break.

Shelli Sexton - Can You Imagine? - I have been dealing with CP$ most of my life, as I was a foster child and aged out in the system, I thought that would be the end of my involvement with CP$, but boy was I wrong, less then 2 yrs later CP$ took my nephew, so I was pulled back in again due to him being family. Then when CP$ terminated my sisters perental rights of both of my nephews, I thought ok CP$ is out of my life again, but once again I was very wrong. As my own children were taken over a false report and due to me standing up for my family. I am in for this fight until the day I die. I fought CP$ hard and got my children returned to me in only 12 weeks, compared to the least normal in NC being 6 months.
Jamie Escobedo - I have been fighting CP$ now for 4 years. In those 4 years I have learned alot and would like to share with people who are going through similar situtions. I live in NC. Jennifer Buckley - I'm just another parent, among the thousands, who is outraged at what this agency is getting away with. And what makes it worse, is that they are doing their damage in the name of "Child Protective Services". I just wanted to post here in case anyone just needs to talk. Sometimes it helps to have an outsider's perspective on the situation. I know I could sure use that. I live in Portland Oregon, and SCF, has my childern - basically on allegations that have never even been investigated.
I will fight them with everything in me, and won't rest until my kids are home safely. Good luck my fellow Parents.

Aerial Wolfe - I am a Washington State resident who was fortunate to have stumbled upon the TRUTH about the CPS and FCS agencies. I had been receiving temporary TANF aid due to complications in the third trimester of my pregnancy(bed rest upon doctor's recommendation.)
The day after my son was born I was contacted by a "public health nurse" who offered "free services" consisting of monthly home visitations to my home to "evaluate" my childs "health and development". Because I was receiving assistance with medical and food/cash benefits at the time, I agreed to the visits. However, the 2nd home visit I received from this nurse made me very uncomfortable.
After stripping my son naked and weighing him, (as she had done at the time of her first visit to my home)the public health nurse asked me if I had ever had any substance abuse problems that I might be needing "help with" at this time. I told her I had not, and did not have any substance abuse problems. She left drug program pamphlets on my kitchen table as she was leaving.
Two weeks later a friend of mine in Oregon who had just completed 8 months of FCS-ordered rehab was devastated when her social worker took her child on a false accusation of a "dirty U.A." ~ evidence which could not be "produced" in court. There WAS no "dirty U.A." TO produce! The FCS worker who took my friend's daughter told my friend that her child, basically, is "placed". FCS ordered my friend into another stint in rehab - 8 months.....what I found out after she checked in was that termination is in 6 months....This means that her child is GONE!!!
I am in the process of incorporating a non-profit with the purpose of reuniting loving families by removing them from the clutches of the various child "safety" service organizations who are selling our babies on the open (and/or black)market, or sending them to foster care. Kayla Kruz, President and Co-Founder of Parents Unite For Children's Mental Health. We are a non-profit advocacy group fighting for the rights of children who have mental illnesses. Many, if not most of our parents had to relinquish/lost custody of these children in order for them to receive mental health services.
